JR The Band - and my personal fusion

If music is a drug, then I am a freaking biggest drug addict in this world.

I might sound a bit eerie but I know that’s the truth. And what could be the biggest bliss to one’s ear if he gets to hear the music which is made right in front of him. Yes that’s what has happened. The name is Mayank and he has a band named JR THE BAND. Wasn’t lucky enough to hear the band jamming. But luck gave me a fare share.

Mayank and I both work in a same firm but in different departments, got introduced by a fellow colleague, we sparked a connection that only two creative minds can possibly have at a first meet. It quickly evolved into friendship.

Now the music part, one day he called me to his home, reason of it I was unaware. But soon my queries got their answer as my host took a grab of his guitar and started to strum its strings. It was magical. I was lost into an abyss of music. I was hypnotized; he was

liberating magic from his guitar. Live music is not new to me as I had attended Many concerts, but getting a private musical treat is a thing that I could only dream of (I hail from community of engineers and doctors). Song after song Hindi and English, the guy was strumming and singing as well and I wished that he never stops but he had to (he is human off course).

After listening to what I can say the best music ever.  Some questions popped into my mind. Why is such a talent wasting his time in the moribund life of a regular job? Guys like these are not meant to work in a 9 to 5 environment.  Whatever the reason maybe. I hope Mayank gets what he wants.
